In the thickest of the pandemic, we are still expected to ensure that the integrity of the food chain is maintained, and that adequate and safe food supplies are available for consumers.
To this effect, World Health Organization has documented a very useful guidance, for food business, on management of food safety during this COVID-19 pandemic.
The same guidance has been attached here in pdf format.
This is a very useful information to organizations that are already certified to food safety management systems, such as ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS standards etc., and those that are yet to be certified.

On 19th June 2018, the much-awaited revised version of ISO 22000 was published. This new version brings with it some new information and requirements.
In this forum, we will try to summarize some of the new information and requirements:

Intentional and unintentional food contamination! what is the difference? or do they mean the same thing?
There is a misconception that organizations certified to food safety management systems are able to manage both intentional and unintentional food contamination. This is not true hence the need to understand the differences between these terminologies and how to mitigate risks that are associate with each category.
Our food defense and food safety courses bring into perspective the differences between the two concepts and how to mitigate the risks that are associated with intentional contamination and those that are associated with unintentional contamination.
